Hello there, I hope everyone’s new year is going great thus far. I’ll start by introducing myself and my intentions for this blog. My name is Van and I’m currently working as a consultant out of the San Francisco Bay Area. I started this blog with the aim of turning it into a resource where people can learn financial tips, concepts, and advice. Hopefully, it will inspire and/or empower readers on their path to financial enlightenment.

With that being said, I confess that I do not consider myself a financial guru nor am I a credentialed employee working in the financial services industry. However, I have always been passionate about personal finance and I spend countless hours each week reading newspapers, magazines, online articles, and other blogs. So what I can promise you, the reader, is that I will do my best to write entries that are clear, concise, and pertinent to your needs.

As far as updates go, I plan to post new entries on a weekly basis with some spontaneous posts thrown in for good measure. I also encourage you to leave comments if you have any ideas on topics you’d like to see covered, have any questions, or just simply want to show your support. And remember: it may be my blog, but it is your money and I hope you will benefit from each visit.
