There’s not much time left, but TradeKing is offering a bonus to refer your friends in honor National Friendship Day, $50 for you and $50 for your friend.  The conditions are that your friend must deposit $1,000 and make one trade.  Sounds easy enough and $50 is pretty good considering the relatively low minimum.  I have not used TradeKing myself, but its trades are dirt cheap at $4.95 for each stock trade (market and limit) and it seems to have favorable reviews.

To maximize your bonus money, instead of opening an account (and not earning any money until you make referrals), you can get referred and make money right from the start.  So if you have a friend who has TradeKing, you can ask them for a referral.  You’ll get $50 and your friend will get $50.  Everybody wins!  If you’re like me and don’t know anyone who has a TradeKing account, Jonathan at MyMoneyBlog has graciously offered to refer anyone.  I’m sure he’s more than happy to oblige since he gets $50 for each referral as well.
