It’s that time of year again.  Yup, taxes are due by April 15 (unless you file for an extension).  On top of that, some additional taxes are cropping up come April 1.  Smoking is about to get a bit more expensive this Wednesday.  For those trying to quit, this will be added incentive to give up the cancersticks.  And in California, there will be a temporary 1% increase in the sales tax good until July 1 of next year or the year after.  Looks like that was good news for car dealers this past weekend which saw an influx of buyers looking to buy before the sales tax went into effect.
