Social Security was signed into law by President Franklin Roosevelt on August 14, 1935 amidst the Great Depression. But many now question whether the program will still be around when it’s their turn to receive benefits. I admit I was one of those people whose faith in the program was wavering. Even if you are young and just started working, I suggest reading it so you can plan your retirement accordingly. It’s never too early to think about retirement planning.
